AGGIE RINGS FOR VETERANS
The Aggie Ring is very important tradition to all students at Texas A&M University and we are fortunate to have numerous scholarships to help Aggie Veterans alleviate the financial burden in obtaining their ring.
Scholarships are awarded based on the size of ring being ordered and cannot be awarded retroactively (post-graduation or after a ring has been ordered). Amounts are as follows:
- $500 for a small (aka "women's") ring
- $1,000 for a large (aka "men's") ring.
To be eligible, current veteran and military students must have a "verified veteran/military status" and submit a completed application.
Once received, applications are reviewed and applicants are contacted to set up their required scholarship information session to receive additional details. Once a session has been completed, applicants are added to the waiting list to await donor matching and scholarship notification from the Association of Former Students.
- MUST be considered “Veteran Verified (VETV)” in the TAMU system. If you are not currently using military educational benefits (i.e., Post 9/11 GI Bill or Hazlewood benefits) and/or have not worked with Military Admissions, you may be required to provide a DD214 or other proof of military service.
For Aggie Ring eligibility information, please visit the Association of Former Students.
Application deadlines are set with consideration of graduation dates and corresponding AFS ring ordering windows and apply EVEN if you are not yet eligible to order your ring. APPLICATIONS RECEIVED AFTER THE APPLICATION DEADLINES SET BELOW WILL NOT BE CONSIDERED.

The Aggie Veteran Ring Program (Rings for Aggie Veterans) is a partnership with the Association of Former Students and is completely funded by the generosity of numerous benevolent donors. All currently enrolled Texas A&M University undergraduate and graduate Aggie Veterans (including those enrolled in Galveston, Health Science Center, & School of Law) are eligible and encouraged to apply.
