Warrior Scholar Project at Texas A&M University
Since 2016, Texas A&M has been a proud partner of Warrior-Scholar Project (WSP). In an effort to help transitioning veterans acclimate to civilian life and successfully complete undergraduate programs, each summer WSP and Texas A&M University host a Humanities & STEM "Academic Boot Camp". During the two-week session, participants will have the opportunity to learn from Texas A&M faculty and writing instructors, introducing them to the rigorous curriculum and schedule of a Tier1 research institution. In addition, they are presented with valuable information on using veterans education benefits, hear from our military admissions team and VRSC staff, as well as receive mentoring from fellow student veterans and are taken on a tour of campus along with an inside, behind the scenes look at the famous Kyle Field and Texas A&M Athletics.
The intensive curriculum is designed to help veterans prepare for an academic environment while learning strategies to become better students. Thanks to benevolent donors and campus partners, the full cost of hosting WSP at Texas A&M is covered, so the program is offered at NO-COST to participants. If you are interested in participating in the next Warrior Scholar Project at Texas A&M cohort, please contact Warrior Scholar Project to submit the application.
