Welcome to the Veteran Resource & Support Center
Howdy from the Director
Howdy! We’re glad you found us. As a department within the Texas A&M University Division of Student Affairs, the Don & Ellie Knauss Veteran Resource & Support Center (VRSC) proudly provides resources, programming, and subject matter expertise to currently enrolled Texas A&M University Students who previously served or are currently serving in the United States military. This includes:
- Veterans earning their degree and preparing to carry their military service into the public and private sectors of America. They span the range of a few years in service to a few decades and represent the proud history of our nation’s military achievement.
- Reservists who, while going to school, train with their units - staying sharp and ready to defend our country.
- National Guard members whose unique federal and state mission requires them to be ready for activation at any moment.
- Active-duty personnel expanding their knowledge base as they lead in the real-time defense of our nation.
Focused on the areas listed below, the VRSC staff strives to provide timely and impactful resources for students in undergraduate, graduate, and professional programs at all campuses and distance education programs.
- Admissions and academic support
- Scholarships and financial assistance
- Military benefits and entitlements
- Career preparation
- Connection and well-being
Guided by a firm commitment to the Aggie Core Values, the VRSC operates to provide veteran and military students with the tools, knowledge, and confidence to fill gaps and negotiate obstacles that threaten degree completion. Through intentional programming and events, we cultivate the Aggie Spirit and promote engagement with one another as well as the entire student body. It is the entire VRSC team’s humble honor to assist students as they add a world-class education to their leadership, knowledge, and experience earned through military service and step forward into the next chapter of life after graduation.
