Bryan/College Station (aka 'Aggieland') is in the “heart” of central Texas. College Station’s school district was named a “Blue Ribbon School District” and is one of Texas’ top 10 school districts. B/CS maintains one of the lowest crime rates in the state and has over 1,800 acres of beautifully maintained parks and sports facilities. With a long-standing history of veteran and military support, the Brazos Valley is a welcoming and stable community for veterans and their families. We recognize the unique needs of veterans below you will find a list of community resources to help with your transition into our community.

BRAZOS VALLEY
Brazos County has a dedicated Veteran Services Office with an experienced officer committed to the welfare and success of Brazos County veterans and their families. A list of services, contact information and office hours can be found here.

Bryan/College Station Community Based Outpatient Clinic (CBOC) offers primary care services for veterans in Bryan/College Station, TX area. Clinic hours and additional location-specific information can be found here.

Catholic Charities of Central Texas provides veteran focused services, funded by the Texas Veterans Commission, to assist veterans and their families in overcoming life challenges through short term financial assistance, referrals, peer support groups, and individual as well as family counseling. STATE OF TEXAS
The Texas Veterans Commission is the advocate for Texas veterans, their families and their survivors. They can assist with claims assistance, employment services, and education that will improve the quality of life of Texas veterans and their families.

The Texas Workforce Commission has a dedicated employment services for veterans. Search for jobs while you are a student or find assistance in finding a career when you are finished with your degree.

Combined Arms bring together veteran-focused nonprofits, agencies, and communities across Texas and the nation, committed to serving those who have served and their families.
COMMUNITY MILITARY-AFFILIATED ORGANIZATIONS
In addition to the on-campus military-affiliated student organizations, we encourage our military students and their families to get involved with the community. Our Community Engagement & Outreach program can help you find the right organization(s) for you!
Brazos Valley Cares (BVC) is a local, non-profit, veteran-service organization that provides assistance to veterans residing in the Brazos Valley. BVC serves a variety of needs, such as mental health, financial assistance, and emergency support. For emergency assistance, contact them at (979) 361-7815.

The American Legion's local hall is the Earl Graham Post 159, and they are valuable partners in Aggie Veteran support. They are located at 101 Waco Street, Bryan, Texas.

Aggieland is home to two VFW posts, both of which offer community support for Aggie Veterans.
VFW Post 12221, College Station meets at 3006 Barron Road the 1st Sunday of the month, 6pm.
VFW Post 4692, Bryan meets at 794 N Harvey Mitchell Pkwy the 3rd Thursday of the month, 7pm.

Brazos Valley Marine Corps League Detachment 1391 is an official member of the National Marine Corps League. For membership and meeting information, visit their webpage.
