Corps Plaza Veterans Memorial
Constructed in 1969, the Corps Plaza Veterans Memorial honors the fallen Aggies of the previous 20 years’ Korean and Vietnam Wars, and future wars.*

Originally situated in a meditation garden outside of Duncan Dining Hall, the 10-by-5-foot concrete structure was dedicated by the Aggie Class of 1969 during a special Muster-like ceremony. During the 1987 renovations to Duncan, the memorial was relocated to a more prominent location on the north side of the Corps Plaza. At the top of a shallow, three-step dais and surrounded by 12 flags representing the 12th Man, you will find the reconditioned structure containing the embronzed names of over 370 fallen Aggies.
*The original memorial was inspired by the desire to honor those who have given their lives to their country during the Korean and Vietnam Wars, and room was intentionally left to include Aggies who would lose their lives in service during future times of war.
