AGGIE RINGS FOR VETERANS
The Aggie Ring is very important tradition to all students at Texas A&M University and we are fortunate to have numerous scholarships to help Aggie Veterans alleviate the financial burden in obtaining their ring.
Aggie Veterans must submit an application to the VRSC in the required timeframe (see 'HOW & WHEN TO APPLY' below). Once reviewed, they will be contacted to schedule an interview with the VRSC Director. After the interview process is complete, if an Aggie Veteran is selected to receive a scholarship, they will be matched with a donor and the scholarship will be "issued" when the student is eligible to order their ring.
Since this program is donor funded, the following program guidelines apply:
- Funding is only available for the basic 10-carat ring with no diamond. If you desire 14-carat and/or a diamond, the extra cost must be student funded.
- If you have already ordered/paid for your ring, you cannot be reimbursed for previous orders. Formerly enrolled/graduated Aggie Veterans cannot use this scholarship and it cannot be used to purchase a second ring.
- MUST be considered “Veteran Verified (VETV)” in the TAMU system. If you are not currently using military educational benefits (i.e., Post 9/11 GI Bill or Hazlewood benefits) and/or have not worked with Military Admissions, you may be required to provide a DD214 or other proof of military service.
For Aggie Ring eligibility information, please visit the Association of Former Students.
Submit your application approximately one year before your expected graduation date EVEN if you are not yet eligible to order your ring. APPLICATIONS RECEIVED LESS THAN 5 MONTHS PRIOR TO ANY SCHEDULED RING DAY ARE TYPICALLY TOO LATE. The VRSC deadlines for ring order windows are set by the Association and cannot be waived. Please see the ring order dates at https://www.aggienetwork.com/ring/upcomingdeliveries.aspx
The Aggie Veteran Ring Program (Rings for Aggie Veterans) is a partnership with the Association of Former Students and is completely funded by the generosity of numerous benevolent donors. All currently enrolled Texas A&M University undergraduate and graduate Aggie Veterans (including those enrolled in Galveston, Health Science Center, & School of Law) are eligible and encouraged to apply.
