AGGIE SHIELDS TEXTBOOK LENDING LIBRARY
The cost of textbooks can be astronomical, especially for student veterans living on education benefits alone. The Aggie Shields Textbook Lending Library lends those costly textbooks to our Aggie Veterans for no charge.
Aggie Shields is a recognized student organization whose primary focus is to help alleviate the financial burden that Aggie Veterans face by providing them textbooks at no cost through their Textbook Lending Library. In addition to textbooks, they have limited technical supplies available such as iClickers and calculators. They also provide dependents/spouses with the opportunity to borrow any remaining unused volumes and supplies. The Textbook Lending Library is operated by the organization's volunteer student officers and members, and relies solely on donations for operating costs and textbook purchases.
The library is housed within the Don & Ellie Knauss Veteran Resource & Support Center (MSC, Suite 1500) for convenience of our veterans and cost-efficiency of the organization, and also offers quiet study spaces, two open access labs, a Smartboard, bluetooth printer, and personal lockers for Aggie Veteran use.
