AGGIE WOMEN VETERANS
The purpose of the Aggie Women Veterans Program (AWV) is to raise awareness of women veterans on-campus and provide Texas A&M faculty, staff, and students who are women veterans with opportunities to engage with each other and the community. With support from the VRSC, our outreach aims to acknowledge the unique background and experiences of women veterans and to improve the recruitment of women veterans to Texas A&M. Participants share their stories and experiences with the campus and the larger Bryan and College Station community. The VRSC has launched several initiatives to help provide resources, opportunities, and support for women veterans. The WVP reaches out to the Aggie Women Veteran Community for feedback on issues impacting our women veterans and works closely with the Student Veterans of America (SVA) at TAMU and the VRSC to advocate for those issues.
The AWV hosts social events each semester and new participants are always welcome! Follow the VRSC and SVA calendars and social medias for information on upcoming events.
