Undergraduate Resources & Services

ACADEMIC SUPPORT
- Military Admissions - Assists with Military Activations & Deployments, Withdrawals, and Re-Entry to Texas A&M.
- VRSC Textbook Library - Provides physical textbook lending at no cost.
- TAMU Libraries - Offers open educational resources (OER), course reserves, dedicated veteran/military study space (in Evans Annex) accessible via the Aggie Card, and more to facilitate your academic success.
- Academic Success Center - Provides tutoring, supplemental instruction, and workshops designed to enhance classroom and academic success. VRSC office hours held each Wednesday during the Fall and Spring semester.
- Office for Student Success - Provides programming for transfer and first generation students, advice on navigating self-advocacy, and preparing for meetings with academic advisors and professors.
- Education Abroad - Offers students the chance to study, intern, volunteer, or research abroad—an Aggie tradition that supports global learning.
SCHOLARSHIPS AND FINANCIAL ASSISTANCE
- Scholarships - The VRSC offers over 150 scholarships for veteran & military students through the UWIDE Continuing Student application.
- Aggie Ring Scholarships - Up to $500 for small (ladies) rings and $1000 for large (men's) rings are available for qualifying students in the year prior to graduation.
- Emergency Fund - One-time financial assistance (up to $1500) is available for veteran & military students encountering unexpected financial burdens.
- Childcare Assistance - Financial assistance for childcare is available for qualifying veteran & military students to help offset the cost of childcare necessary for academic attendance and related activities.
- BTHO Hunger Resources - The VRSC has an in-house Pocket Pantry offering non-perishables and hygiene items and emergency funding for veteran & military students.


MILITARY BENEFITS AND ENTITLEMENT
- Aggie One Stop - Your go-to for all questions related to the processing of VA Chapter benefits and Hazlewood Exemptions, billing questions, and registrar-related inquiries. Find an AOS advisor in the VRSC on What You Need Wednesdays!
- Veteran Success on Campus - This VA program offers an on-campus counselor who is here to assist you in making sure you have access to everything you need from the VA to be successful in your academic pursuits. Our VSOC also happens to be a Veteran Readiness & Employment (Ch. 31-VRE) Counselor.
- Brazos County Veteran Services Officer - Offers assistance with VA claims, discharge reviews, burial benefits and more in the convenience and comfort of the VRSC.
CAREER PREPARATION
- Career Center - Provides 1:1 career advising, workshops, programs, and career fairs/events all aimed at preparing for post-graduation success.
- Graduate & Professional School - Partners with the VRSC to offer Grad School 101 workshops for students considering continuing on to the next level of degree.
- Veteran/Military Career Fair - Hosted by the Career Center, this virtual event is open to all veteran and military students. Keep an eye out for information on date/time each fall semester.


CONNECTION AND WELL-BEING
- VALOR2 - Veteran Aggie Leaders for Outreach, Research, and Resources (VALOR2) is the best way for veteran and military students to get involved and make an impact on their (and future students') Aggie experience.
- MISSION: Wellness - This partnership program with University Health Services provides veteran and military students with a mental health resource within the VRSC, along with workshops and programming to address all aspects of wellness.
- VITAL - The VA's Veteran Integration to Academic Leadership (VITAL) provides students access to a licensed VA counselor at the local Community Based Outpatient Clinic.
- Maroon Santa - Held each year near the end of the fall semester, Maroon Santa offers veteran and military students the opportunity to submit a wish list for their child(ren), fulfilled at an event that includes crafts, snacks, and a visit with Santa himself!
