HOW WE SERVE
Our unique programming is intentionally designed to offer Aggie Veterans support through every aspect of their higher education journey. From considering Texas A&M through finding post-graduation employment, we have programs and events to empower you in achieving your purpose..
Texas A&M's Military Admissions team is dedicated to providing transitional support and academic counseling to prospective Aggie Veterans, current military members, spouses, and Gold Star families. Visit the Military Admissions webpage to find out more about their services and how their 35 years of combined experience and expertise working with student veterans can benefit you!
The transition to a large four-year institution like Texas A&M can be daunting to think about. We understand and have formulated several programs and events to provide you with the experiences, knowledge, and confidence to successfully transition. Visit our Transition Success page to find out more about our New Student Conference sessions, Vet Camp, VET+MAP program, Veteran Academic Academy, and the First Generation Veteran Scholars.
The rigor of a Tier-1 research institution like Texas A&M can be quite different from that of a community college and we want to ensure our Aggie Veterans receive the tips and tools to achieve academic excellence. Visit our Academic Support page to find out more about our partnership with the Academic Success Center to provide veteran-focused sessions, and our partnership with the TAMU Libraries to provide private and dedicated study spaces for Aggie veterans.
College can be expensive and let's face it, even for those eligible the expenses far outweigh the GI Bill provisions. Our financial support programs aim to alleviate the financial burden that can too often become a roadblock between Aggie Veterans and their educational goals. Visit our Financial Support page to learn more about our general scholarships, textbook lending library, Aggie Ring scholarships, emergency funds and more.
Personal well-being is just as essential to Aggie success as academics. Developing your network and getting involved goes a long way towards experiencing what it truly means to be an Aggie. The VRSC facilitates many opportunities to promote and foster healthy connections. Check out our Well-Being & Engagement page for details on Aggie Veteran recognition, event tickets, nutritional security, women veteran programs, and both on-campus and community military-affiliated organizations and resources.
Finding that internship or post-graduation position can be an overwhelming process. We have partnered with the Career Center at Texas A&M to offer veteran-designated career readiness programming. A dedicated veteran career coach coordinates corporate partner Lunch-and-Learns, veteran career fairs, and personalized services to assist you in all aspects of career searching. View our Career Readiness and Employment page to learn more and set up an appointment.
Throughout the Aggieland community are opportunities and organizations ready to engage with our Aggie Veterans and welcome them into the community. We are proud to partner with a number of campus and community organizations and committees to raise community awareness of our Aggie Veteran population and connect Aggie Veterans with those who support them. Check out our Outreach, Awareness, and Community Engagement page to learn more.
