Military Veteran Cord

Consistent with its rich military history, Texas A&M  University proudly recognizes the commitment and selfless service of  our military graduates by the red, white, and blue graduation cords.  These cords identify our graduating active duty, national guard, reserve or veteran students and signify the appreciation that Texas A&M University feels toward our military and veteran community for their service and sacrifice.

If you are a graduating veteran, we would like to honor you with the Military Veteran Cord to wear with your cap and gown at graduation.  You may pick up your cord at the reception.

The Veteran Resource and Support Center is here to enhance Texas A&M’s “military friendly" legacy by Identifying, Developing & Providing uniquely tailored resources & programs to students that are:

  • Veterans
  • Active Duty, Reserve or National Guard
  • Military dependents, survivors & families

Texas A&M has more 938 student veterans and 1,700 dependents using military-related benefits. We also have at least 400 veterans (or active duty) as part of faculty and staff.

The VRSC, along with the Aggie network, are here to support you every step of the way; from application to vocation! We are here to...

Serve Well Those Who Have Served!

We invite you to stop by our offices, Koldus Room 112, give us a call, (979) 845-3161, or connect with our partners to make your time at Texas A&M as successful as possible.
